Circular Fashion Brand MINIMALIST at Figure Eight Store in Soho
Sustainability is one of the most pressing issues in fashion, and brands across the globe are implementing new production concepts and moving away from traditional practices. Enter MINIMALIST: a curated collection of Ready-to-Wear that is defined by a commitment to circularity. MINIMALIST's newest collection, entitled 'Collection 2' does away with 'seasons'. Instead, the collection is a new seasonless drop, where the brand aims for timelessness that builds on the previous collection with the aim of reducing consumption, going by the motto 'buy less, buy better'.
With this second collection, MINIMALIST founder Tamara Davydova wanted to expand offerings into new categories including easy-to-wear dresses, suiting, tops, and new varieties of their best-selling jumpsuit. “I kept my components down to what’s necessary without compromising design,” says Tamara. Each garment is designed to be fully fiber-to-fiber recyclable, closing the loop and eliminating the need for garments to end up in a landfill.

All the fabrics and trimmings MINIMALIST uses are in compliance with ZDHC, bluesign, and OEKO-TEX—focused on reducing environmental impact and toxins. Whatsmore, MINIMALIST is produced locally in NYC. Figure Eight in Soho recently started carrying the brand. The retail shop, founded by Nicole Marra and Tina Bhojwani who came together after decades of leading international luxury brands, is the first multi-brand experiential boutique curated with a 360-degree approach to sustainability. The store showcases a refined selection of sustainable, vegan brands across fashion, jewelry, and beauty. Learn more about the MINIMALIST brand on their website.
